This fine piece is a solid bronze Port Authority Bus Terminal Dedication Medal struck in 1950 by Robbins Co., Attleboro, MA. It was designed by Julio Kilenyi, Sc. (1885-1959). The front features the PORT AUTHORITY BUS TERMINAL on a raised band around a perspective view of the Terminal, located at 41 st Street & 8 th Avenue in New York City. In exergue below: TO SERVE THE PUBLIC and signed: KILENYI. Reverse: THE PORT OF NEW YORK AUTHORITY around and inscribed: PORT AUTHORITY/ BUS/TERMINAL. Dedication tablet with inscription above: DEDICATED/ DECEMBER 14,1950 with names of New York and New Jersey Governors and Authority Commissioners below. This piece is in excellent near mint condition.
